Using Media in the Classroom: This collection focuses on how to use a variety of digital media such as photo sharing sites, video streaming resources, video editing sites, and digital storytelling strategies. Some basic information is also included on Copyright and Creative Commons. Motivation and Mental Models: This collection focuses on student engagement, strengths-based instruction, and other mental frameworks or expectations that can influence students to be more active in their learning. MakeSomething: Project Based Learning: Pretty self-explanatory, this collections focuses on both project and problem based learning as way to create hands-on student-centered authentic learning experiences. GrantEd: This is a collection of resources for writing successful grants. Principles of 21st Century Teaching: This collection is based on the Robyn Jackson book, Never Work Harder than Your Students and the Angela Maiers book, Classroom Habitudes. It's focus is on adopting a 21st century teaching mindset, and it incorporates a variety of topics, from effective feedback to web 2.0 tools. Online Tools for Language Arts: This workshop features ideas and resources for integrating technology into language arts instruction from grades 4-12--in other words, reading and writing to learn more than learning to read and write. Assessment Literacy: This collection focuses on a 21st century approach to using assessment in the classroom, including formative assessment, multiple measures, and data-based decision making.
